At MEININGER Hotels, we are dedicated to reducing plastic usage in our dining areas and beverage services. We segregate waste into different compartments, including general, paper, and plastic, and prioritize the use of paper packaging over plastic whenever feasible. Additionally, we offer a selection of drinks in glass bottles rather than plastic and prioritize the use of recycled plastic when necessary. 


To further minimize plastic usage, we collaborate with various deposit schemes such as Recup and BillyCup. Recup and BillyCup are reusable cup programs where guests can get drinks in reusable cups by paying a small deposit, which is refunded upon returning the cup. These initiatives help us reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.
